Lupus Region vs Inequities Region

After an easy win last round, Family Planning in Lupus Nephritis forgot to plan ahead for this game. Social Determinants of Health walks away with a blowout victory.

Social Determinants of Health wins 18-3

Comments from the BRP:

Interesting match-up of personal preference versus societal responsibility. This one goes to overtime before Social Determinants of Health unveils a deeper playbook and gets everyone involved in outlasting a determined Family Planning team.”

“We need to get to the roots of what causes illness, and not just the ‘medical’ aspects.”

“I have an MD, not an MPH, and so I’m sticking with lupus, as pedestrian as it is, knowing it doesn’t stand a chance of advancing. Social topics always win in NephMadness.”

Cardiorenal Region vs Neonatal Region

Diuretic Resistance Treatments continues its cinderella run! Novel Devices for Neonatal HD finally lost its steam and couldn’t keep up with Diuretic Resistance Treatments in the second half of the game.

Diuretic Resistance Treatments Wins 15-6

Comments from the BRP:

“Creative thinking in addressing a relentless challenge helps Diuretic Resistance prevail.”

“Why won’t the kidney respond the way it is supposed to sometimes?”

“The tricks of the trade!! And we have more tools.”

“This is so close, I would be picking novel devices if I were a pediatric nephrologist.”

Many thanks to Omar Taco @ErrantNephron for the scoreboard graphics!
