Virginie Royal, MD, is a renal pathologist and assistant professor of pathology and cellular biology at the University of Montreal. She completed her medical studies and pathology residency at the University of Montreal. She completed a renal pathology fellowship at Necker Hospital, Paris, in 2008. She has been practicing academic renal pathology at University of Montreal since 2009, and is committed to teaching responsibilities. Since 2016, she is the section chief of anatomical pathology at her institution. Dr. Royal is currently participating in several ongoing research efforts on primary glomerular disease and kidney disease related to monoclonal gammopathy.
