Choice of dialysis modality is a widely debated topic among nephrologists, as evident by several comments on an eAJKD commentary by Dr Mailloux on home dialysis. As highlighted in an AJKD report from a committee of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis, use of home dialysis modalities is markedly underutilized in the United States.
